Prolific writers and teachers both within our profession and for a public audience, Amy Rothenberg ND, DHANP & Paul Herscu ND, DHANP, MPH have been in practice together for 37 years. They founded the New England School of Homeopathy in 1990 where they have taught thousands of prescribers to understand and utilize classical homeopathy and find efficacy and joy in the practice setting. Their ongoing teaching and generous sharing of knowledge and patient-based information helps colleagues and students alike raise the level of homeopathy being practiced.

They are Founders of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Herscu is the 2016 AANP VIS award recipient, given for his influence upholding the vitalistic tradition within the naturopathic profession. He is the current chair of the Massachusetts Naturopathic Medicine Licensing board appointed by the Governor. His numerous books including The Homeopathic Treatment of Children—Pediatric Constitutional Types, and Stramonium with an Introduction to Analysis Using Cycles and Segments, are essential reading.

Dr, Rothenberg is the AANP 2017 Physician of the Year and Immediate Past President of the Massachusetts Society of Naturopathic Physicians. She is the 2023 recipient of the Julian Winston NCH Service Award. She served on the Board of Health in Amherst, MA for six years. Her book, You Finished Treatment, Now What? A Field Guide for Cancer Survivors is an Amazon Best Seller and Nautilus Book Award Winner from 2023.

Together, they spearheaded the successful effort to license naturopathic doctors in Massachusetts. Together they raised three wonderful children and will soon welcome their first grandchild. In their spare time, Dr. Rothenberg can be found in her art studio, Dr. Herscu at the chessboard or together, spending time with friends and family in rural Massachusetts or on the ballroom dance floor.
