Dr. Tara Peyman is a licensed naturopathic doctor and the clinical director of Integrative Mental Health Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has a focus in the homeopathic and integrative treatment of mental illness, with a particular interest in bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and OCD. She has additional training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. She is well-versed in the use of psychiatric medications and can assist patients in either reducing the need for prescriptions, or safely integrating them with naturopathic care if that is best for the patient. Dr. Peyman is a 2007 graduate of Sonoran University, and was trained under Dr. Stephen Messer and other renowned leaders in the homeopathic community. She is also a founding member of the Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and volunteers on the board as the Vice President of this nonprofit educational organization. Homeopathic Treatment of Bipolar Disorder

In this presentation, Dr. Tara Peyman will discuss several cases of bipolar disorder from her clinical practice. She will present her analysis of the cases, including determination of characteristic symptoms, homeopathic remedy differentiation and selection, posology considerations, and case management over time as symptoms naturally change. She will also include discussion of how psychiatric medications interplay with homeopathic medicines, and ways to skillfully improve patient outcomes.
